STITCHES 101: THE WAISTCOAT STITCH
Updated: Mar 31, 2021
The waistcoat stitch is a great option for crocheters who love the look of knit items but don't know how to knit. If you can single crochet you can easily do this stitch. Scroll below for a quick tutorial.
The fabric created by this stitch is thick and sturdy. It's perfect for projects like bags, baskets or rugs. The only difference between a regular single crochet and the waistcoat stitch is where you insert your hook.
Insert your hook into the "v" of the stitch from the previous round.
Yarn over and pull up a loop. You should have two loops on your hook.
Yarn over and pull through both loops.
Easy right?
Happy Crafting!
